“You innovate in ways that stoke your economy. Because innovations in science and technology are the engines of 21st century economies.”

OVERVIEW

One of the defining features of modern, progressive nations is the extent to which SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE is applied and integrated into practical everyday functions and solutions. Liberia doesn’t fit the bill of modern and progressive. Its neighbors and the world have moved into AI technology with warp speed.  The last 40 years of a Coup d’Etat and two Civil Wars has created the least conducive environment for Technology Absorption and Technology Adoption. And in the ruins of war Liberians are confined to a subsistence search for food and shelter. This diminished capacity to absorb and adopt technologies produces negative social, economic and developmental consequences because there aren’t enough Liberians with the basic technical or social skills to implement, build, maintain and innovate in a modern society, or to attract and keep the kind of Foreign Direct investments which Liberia needs to thrive. We’re a less attractive and competitive destination because of our TECHNOLOGY deficits.

THE STRATEGY

THE FOUNDATION will bring together the human, technical and financial resources of both the Liberian Diaspora and Liberians-at-home thru a Database (click here) which will be targeted at making interventions in selected fields. In concert with this The Foundation will launch an international outreach campaign to create cooperative relationships with foreign businesses and institutions with proven track records in a variety of technological fields.

THE SOLUTIONS

Liberia’s overwhelmingly youthful population is the prime demographic where intervention will have the greatest impact. A major component of shifting the Liberian paradigm must be a massive upscale of Technical and Vocational Education & Training (TVET) for Liberia’s majority Youthful population. This investment must be matched with an aggressive promotion of STEM Education at the Primary & Secondary School levels to promote and support the GENIUSES in our population.
