‘OPERATION COVER OUR PEOPLE’
NATIONAL CLOTHING DRIVE
From the ashes of disaster grow the roses of success! And that’s why we’re appealing to Liberians to join us to make an instant and historic impact. It’s so easy! A no-brainer! We never think of the extra capacity we have but never use. This doesn’t only apply to the huge amount of clothing items we accumulate and don’t use, but it’s true in other areas of our lives. So COVER OUR PEOPLE FOUNDATION has created the platform and organization which allows us to easily transfer our unused clothing capacity to our vulnerable citizens who need it the most. That’s almost 400,000 children! There may be more. That’s what this Clothing Drive’s all about! That’s what our FOUNDATION’s about. That by acting together the processes and mechanisms of building a better Liberia can be meaningful, creative and efficient. Giving what you already have but aren’t using isn’t going to make you poorer. You and your country will be richer and stronger. Your act will be a big boost to those who don’t have much. We’ll all be better when we rise up higher TOGETHER!
WHY ALL THIS GOT STARTED
In late 2022 The Government of Liberia, UNICEF et al. published the ‘PROTECTION OF CHILDREN LIVING IN STREET SITUATIONS IN LIBERIA’ which identified 366,585 children in three (3) categories spread across Liberia’s 15 Counties. The ‘COVER OUR PEOPLE FOUNDATION’ was conceived and incorporated in Liberia & the USA (Delaware) in response to this study. They’re Not-for-Profit. The Foundation’s goal is to make important, innovative and cost-effective interventions in HEALTH, EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY, and the ENVIRONMENT.
THIS IS THE TIMETABLE
OPERATION COVER OUR PEOPLE will unfold in three (3) phases. These include: (1) Collection, (2) Inventory & Packaging, and (3) National Distribution. Before officially launching we’ll publish COLLECTION POINTS (click here) throughout the city. In Month 1 the COLLECTION POINTS will receive all Clothing Items. In Month 2 we will INVENTORY AND PACKAGE all donated items. In Month 3 we will begin the process of NATIONAL DISTRIBUTION in Liberia.

HERE’S HOW TO DONATE
If it’s in a bad condition and dirty then we don’t want it. That’s not what we’re trying to accomplish here. Your clothing donations will be far more valuable when they’re in GOOD CONDITION and CLEAN. So it’s items like: (1) Shirts, (2) trousers, (3) skirts, (4) blouses, (5) t-shirts, (6) socks, (7) shoes, (8) hats and (9) bags that we’ll be needing to redistributing to the almost 400,000 children living in street situations all across Liberia.
WHAT ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY?
OPERATION COVER OUR PEOPLE is going to be an annual event in Liberia. This isn’t a one shot deal. The needs are great and by acting together we can do a lot of good. That’s why we need you to get us over the finish line. Donating the clothing items is the first part. The other parts like SECURITY, SORTING, PACKAGING, COMMUNICATING and TRANSPORTING to destinations across Liberia kick in. It’s a big job and we’re going to need you to chip in to finish the job. If you do your little bit it will all add up to alot!
